Director’s Message
Greetings:
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students in the School of Education, we wish to extend to you a very special welcome to our web site. The School has been preparing teachers and teacher educators, educational specialists, administrators, and trainers for over 70 years. Our alumni play a significant role in strengthening the fabric of society by helping individuals to grow academically, professionally, and personally. They are influential in the development and improvement of education and training in Colorado and across the nation in both the public and private sectors.
As you navigate our website, you will see that the School offers educator licensure in many endorsement areas for undergraduates. Prospective students interested in graduate level work can choose from one of five specializations leading to a Master of Education in Education and Human Resource Studies (M.Ed.) or consider the Student Affairs in Higher Education (SAHE) Master's in Science program. We are committed to preparing Master's students who go beyond their understanding of their work as practitioners by becoming discipline- specific scholar/researchers.
The four specializations within the Doctor of Philosophy Education and Human Resource Studies degree follow the vision set forth by the AAU - Association of American Universities that states:
“The Ph.D. is a research degree, signifying that the recipient has acquired the capacity to make independent contributions to knowledge through original research and scholarship.”
You will also view information about our Continuing Education Program that offers courses, and workshops in Colorado and the nation and module-based online learning systems serving teachers who need to obtain career and technical credentials and to meet school districts' professional development needs.

Tim Davies Ph.D.
Interim Director
