How to Return to Colorado State
Unlike the formal admission decision conducted on your first application for admission, the return process involves simple verification that the University's records are current and review of your eligibility to return.
Document Checklist
1) Undergraduate Intent to Return Form
- The Undergraduate Intent to Return Form is required for the Office of Admissions to update your records
- You may substitute the Application for Admission
2) $50 non refundable Application Processing Fee
Submit the fee ONLY IF:
- You have not been regularly enrolled at Colorado State for one full calendar year or more (for example, if your last enrollment was during the Spring 2006 term you will have to pay a processing fee beginning with the Summer 2007 term), OR
- You have attended another institution since leaving Colorado State, OR
- You have been academically dismissed from Colorado State
3) An official transcript from each college/university attended since leaving Colorado State, regardless of the amount or type of credit earned
- Transcripts of coursework completed prior to enrolling at Colorado State may be necessary but will not delay the return process. You will be notified if prior transcripts are necessary.
- Faxed transcripts are not accepted.
4) Additional Support Documents (optional)
- Examples of support documents include a Statement of Intent (brief essay), letters of recommendation, or resume.
- The Statement of Intent is especially helpful if you have been away for a significant period of time, if you have downward trends or weaknesses at other institutions to explain, if you are in a probationary or dismissed status, or if you are seeking an Academic Fresh Start.
