Biography:

James Reid is the Commander of the Emergency Services Division for the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.  As the Commander he is the County Fire Marshal and the Director of Emergency Management.  He started his career in emergency services in the United States Air Force as a firefighter.  He held positions from firefighter through Fire Chief during his twenty year career.  During his time in the military, Jim spent over 10 years in code enforcement.  He is a career firefighter with over 28 years experience.  Jim has been with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office 5 years.  He is an International Fire Service Accreditation Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector III, and a National Fire Academy (NFA) Fire/Arson Investigator.  He is currently enrolled in the NFA Executive Fire Officer course.
