Biography: Eric Morgenthaler currently serves as the Battalion Chief of B Shift and previously served as the Training Chief for the Castle Rock Fire Rescue Department. Battalion Chief Morgenthaler began his firefighting career with the Hockessin, DE Fire Company in 1989. He has worked in Alaska, Oklahoma and Ohio in the fire and emergency services. Chief Morgenthaler is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) through the National Fire Protection Association. Morgenthaler holds the grade of Member (MIFireE) in the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and holds the designation of Chief Fire Officer (CFO) through the Commission on Professional Credentialing/Center for Public Safety Excellence. He is a Colorado Certified Fire Officer III, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Services Instructor II and EMT-Basic. He has completed training in wildland firefighting, rope rescue, confined space rescue, trench rescue and structural collapse rescue. Battalion Chief Morgenthaler is a member of several professional organizations, including the National Fire Protection Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. He also serves as a contract instructor for the National Fire Academy, Colorado Regional Community Policing Institute (CRCPI) and the Colorado Division of Fire Safety. |
