Biography:

As a Colorado State University graduate, Lonnie is proud to return to CSU, serving as an instructor for the FESA program.  Lonnie brings 20 years of college teaching experience as a Fire Science, EMT and Emergency Management instructor.  For the last 10 years he has also directed the PPCC Fire Science Technology degree to the number one graduating fire protection degree in the U.S.  He is the Fire Chief for the Colorado Centre Metropolitan District Fire Department, and he is a retired Colorado Springs Fire Department Captain. 

Two important interests of Lonnie are, to bring two college level education programs to the fire service.  One is the Fire Department Safety Officers program, and the other is the Public Safety Leadership and Ethics curriculum from Phi Theta Kappa, the Honor Society of the Two Year College. 

Lonnie lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Linda and their two high school children.
