| Shawn Bayouth has been with the Ames Fire Department as a Deputy Chief of Support Services since 2007. His varied background includes adjunct instructing of fire science classes for Colorado Mountain College, Battalion Chief in Avon, CO, Human Resource Specialist II for Vail Resorts, and Assistant Chief of Training in Urbandale, IA. Shawn is a Nationally Certified Paramedic, a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, and is one of only 550 worldwide to be awarded the professional designation of "Chief Fire Officer (CFO)" through the Center for Public Safety Excellence. His research interests inlude human resource development and safety decision making systems as it relates to firefighting. |
